WriteExpress Updated Logo Concepts 11/11/2002
Purpose: Okay tried to stay away from the "born again" fish look. The biggest change, besides the logos is in the
logo type, i italicized the name of the company to communicate the idea of "express", I want the user to feel like the
product will speed up their letter writing time, thus saving them time. Also, i noticed the box letters were more bold and set at italics, so I wanted the logotype to fit as well. The logos are their really to enhance the logotype, not neccasarily stand on their own. I tried to communicate easy writing that just flows.

WriteExpress Logo Concept 11/10/2002
Purpose: Initial Logo Concept for WriteExpress.com. This logo is comprised of a logo and logotype. The logo represents
the idea of writing that comes naturally and is free flowing - thus communicating the concept behind the writeexpress product, which
is to make writing much easier - even for non writers. The logotype is ITC Garamond Book, which is a serif font (as opposed to a non-serif font
like Arial). Serif fonts are usually associated with written manuscripts and traditional print, more of a classical feel. The "Express" part
of the logo type is set apart by the red as well as a heavier stroke, This is done to emphasize the idea of saving time, as well
as hitting on the idea that writing can be done quickly and easily - hassle free.

WriteExpress Header Concept and Home Page Mockup 11/10/2002
Purpose: The comp includes a new header using the new logo with the WriteExpress logo prominently displayed on the top right. I kept the header very simple so that it could be coded without images to keep the file size small, I wanted the "buy now" button to stand out, yet still go with the navigation. As far as the home page mockup goes - I wanted something fresh and youthful, I wanted the image to portray someone who would be taken as a "happy writer", someone who is satisfied with what they are doing, this image promotes the flagship product - easy letter pro, if the image is clicked on it would then go to the product page. The bottom of the page is split up into three sections - the far left is to promote Easy Letter Professional 2002, the other two sections can be used to promote some of the smaller products, or perhaps be used for announcements and news updates. The page would be left justified without any margins.
